I took the family recently to "The Pier", a lovely restaurant and bar at Rye - a popular beachside town in Melbourne. I had a delicious salmon salad. The menu was quite varied but very pricey. Some of the cocktails were $18 - ouch! Service was reasonable and efficient. But...My daughter kept playing with the table candle and broke it, so we got frowned on by the waitress. The location is perfect - just across from the beach and the carnival rides. Try it out, but bring your wallet!
