Theofania Celebration in Rye

Every year we love to go to Rye beach (Melbourne) for the Theofania (blessing of the Holy Waters) celebration.  There is a race to pluck the Holy Cross from the waters next to the pier.  As you can see from the video and images below, the day was lovely and ended with some traditional Greek dancing.  Opa!

Wow, that was a great day.  I hope we didn't get sunburnt though!
